Targeting the multidrug-resistant Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria classified as most urgent by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) — including major pathogens such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli — MicrobiotiX has built one of the world's largest bacteriophage libraries, comprising approximately 1,000 phages. Based on this library, the company is advancing the development of customized bacteriophage therapeutics for severe and refractory bacterial infections.
